Improve your game immensely with this helpful and experience-based Texas Hold’em Strategy. Featuring exclusive tips and advice, it’s your key to winning at the tables! Learn it all here.

Succeeding in Texas Hold’em is about more than just having a great hand. Nearly all successful players use some kind of Texas Hold’em Strategy which includes at least the basics outlined in this guide. You can use the advice below as a way to drastically improve your game.

The Key
There is one extremely important thing to remember when using Texas Hold’em Strategy, and that is that the community cards are used by all the other players and your hole cards are therefore the only thing setting you all apart. "

Potential Hands
Part of good Texas Hold’em Strategy is knowing how to evaluate your cards, and much of this is based on the first two cards you are dealt (your hole cards). This is because much of the decisions you make in later stages will be based on what you are dealt.

The most general rule that can be applied in basic Texas Hold’em strategy is that unless you are holding at least a pair or two high cards, cut your losses and fold. Some players will opt for a tighter Texas Hold’em strategy and will fold if only one card is less than 10, whereas others will play more loosely and pursue unpaired middle cards such as 8 and 9. This situates you in the middle, and one of your aims is to identify your opponent’s styles so that you can play accordingly. Also, your chances of obtaining a winning hand are decreased as there are fewer players in the game, which should be taken into consideration. Remember too that you must lose a few to win a few, so don’t be discouraged by any losses.

Final Rounds
It is during the Turn and the River that the 4th and 5th community cards are dealt to the table, and this is your final chance to cut your losses and quit the round. Generally, Texas Hold’em strategy states that you should fold in the Turn unless you are waiting for a Flush or Straight and haven’t raised (only checked).

It is important to consider that Texas Hold’em strategy is subjective to many things, such as the percentage of your chips you have bet with, so be sure to keep an open mind and play cautiously!
