At this year’s WSOP David Sand and Daniel Kelly will be competing against each other for a place in the ‘Brunson 10’
A collection of the world’s best poker players are getting ready to go head to head for a place in the much sought after Brunson 10. Two of the players taking part in the World Series of Poker 2010 and hoping to win this elite honor are David “Doc” Sands and Daniel “djk123” Kelly. Each player will be awarded points for every bit of cash that they win at the World Series of Poker and the player with the most point at the end of the series will be awarded with the seventh place in the DoylesRoom group of sponsored professionals, otherwise known as “The Brunson 10”.
David “Doc” Sands has one of the most impressive records around having won over $2.2 million through his poker playing. Recently he has added a Sunday Major title worth $132,788 and won first place in the Event 10 of the FTOPS XII which was worth $259,440 to his already highly impressive collection.
Sands is only 26 years old, has a promising future ahead of him and knows it. Recently he said, “I’m very excited to be given a chance to compete for a spot on The Brunson 10, I’m very confident I’m going to win this of course.”
Daniel “djk123” Kelly has so far won over $4 million playing poker. Part of this comes from finishing fourth in the 2009 WCOOP Main Event (this was worth $643,200) and also a WCOOP Event No. 44 High Roller HORSE which was word $252,350. This is Kelly’s first year at the WSOP and his first ever appearance shall be at Event 2 which is a $50,000 Poker Players Championship.
Neither or the two players will find the competition a piece of cake. They both have very impressive records and the World Series of Poker is the perfect forum for them to face each other and battle it out for a place in the Brunson 10. The winner will join the other nine which consists of some of the most formidable names in poker today which includes, Zachary Clark, Amit Makhija, Chris Moorman, Dani Stern, Alex “AJKHoosier” Kamberis and Steve “gboro780” Gross.
Be sure to keep an eye on this competition as its sure to be hard fought, full of drama and great entertainment over the entirety of this year’s World Series of Poker.
