The European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) is back for its third year of intense poker-playing competition, and is expected to be better than ever. With an increased time frame and larger than life prize-pools up for grabs, every online gambler should ensure that he/she is a part of this much anticipated online poker event!

According to a Titan Poker representative, the ECOOP was extended to two weeks long so that more players could test their poker skills in the hope to win the major prize jackpots on offer. Running from the 24th of November through to the 7th of December, the third ever ECOOP will be four days longer than the first and initial tournament back in 2007. In December 2007, the ECOOP saw ten days of intense poker-playing tournaments take place.

In addition, the newly extended time frame will be coupled with a significant increase in the major jackpot being offered. When in 2007 the major prize on offer to players was $2.5 million in guaranteed jackpots, and in May 2008 was $3.6 million, this year the ECOOP is planning to award $4.15 million in shared prize jackpots! That will amount to quite a large difference for the first place winner, who in 2007 took home no less than $220,000 and in 2008 "Jeans89" scooped a hefty $315,000.

The ECOOP will be available to potential players via a wide range of online poker websites and poker rooms. One of the main poker rooms involved in the event is Titan Poker, which will be hosting regular freerolls each week, month and 3 months through PokerListings. Signing up for their offers will no doubt aid players in winning. The freerolls kick off on the 27th of September. They will cost 1 poker point to enter and will offer winners $1,000 in prize money.

In addition, an exclusive Freeroll worth $5,000 will be available each month at Titan for those players who raked in at least 100 poker points over the month prior to the event.
