Most prestigious poker tournament in the year's poker calendar will be held in one venue for the convenience of the players
Leicester Square is where it will all be happening! The finest of Poker Tournament action will take place in London this year. A whole month of poker action awaits players and enthusiasts as the World Series of Poker Europe, the most prestigious poker tournament, opens in September 2008 in Leicester Square. All the events in this poker tournament will be held at Leicester Square. Leicester Square or if you prefer, Casino at the Empire, is in the very heart of London, it is just one of several London Clubs International which was previously named as the venue for the poker tournament.
A full list of players who are expected at next month's poker tournament has already been released by WSOPE. The director of Marketing for WSOP, Ty Stewart, says that television exposure has been broadened across the globe so that poker enthusiast can enjoy every moment of the event no matter where they are. The WSOPE has decided in an unprecedented move to hold the entire poker tournament in one venue for the convenience of the players. The 5 day championships will start on 27 September as the grand finale to the poker tournament.
This year's WSOPE Poker Tournament will be one of the most hotly contested as all the top players such as Chris Ferguson, Erick Lindgren, Jennifer Harman, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, and at least three players from the "November Nine", Ivan Demidov, Peter Eastgate and David "Chino" Rheem. This is a poker tournament not to be missed and if you are an enthusiast make every effort to get to Leicester Square. The poker tournament will be televised, so if you cannot be there at least you can join the spirit of the event in your living room.
The poker tournament opens on 19 September with a No-limit Hold'em Day which is held over 3 days. Event number 2, H.O.R.S.E, takes place from 22 September unitl 25 September. The £5,000 Pot Limit Omaha starts on 24 September and is held over 3 days. The grand finale, £10,000 World Championship No-Limit Hold'em will run from 27 September until 1 October. There is still plenty of time to join, should you have the time and desire to try out this exiting poker tournament.
