This year has seen an exciting EPT with thousands of players, massive wins and stunning locations; now it is the final stop at Monte Carlo
There were nine levels, each taking one hour, on the first day of the EPT Monte Carlo. The first day (Day1A) saw 351 poker players paying a €10,000 buy-in so that they could take part in this great poker challenge. At the end of the day there were 173 players who had managed to qualify for the main day event.
The leader from the first day with 175,000 chips was Simon Munz from Germany with Chris Bjorin from Swedish a close second; he currently has 171,000 chips in his stack. In third place was Antonio Palma from Portuguese who has 169,000 chips and in fourth place the PokerStars player David Paredes with 144,600 chips. However, only 28 of the 173 players who have qualified for the main event have over 100,000 chips.
Day1B, the second part of Day1 is usually far more crowded than the preceding day and over 500 people are expected to take part.
