Exciting finale to the European Poker Tour. Gustavson played a brave match and defeated 730 other competitors to claim the coveted title and an amazing £830,000 in prize money.

The last leg of London’s European Poker Tour ended triumphantly for one lucky poker winner. The American player, Aaron Gustavson, defeated hundreds of opponents to reach the top prize worth an incredible £830,000.

The final stage of the European Poker Tour ended at the Hilton Metropole Hotel under the watchful eye of hundreds of observers. Gustavston beat off 730 ambitious rivals including Peter Eastgate, a former world champion. Eastgate walked away with a second prize worth an equally astounding £530,000 in what proved to be a tense and adrenaline fuelled match.

The final stages of the tournament were packed with excitement in a nail-biting finale. Gustavson entered with a larger chip stack than his opponent but Eastgate skilfully managed to steam ahead in a game which many thought could have gone either way. Both players’ characteristic styles were in evidence throughout the tournament. Gustavson appeared relaxed alongside an intense and concentrated Eastgate. The heads up, however, finished fairly swiftly with a total of seven hands being played. The final hand saw Eastgate’s 9 and ace against Gustavson’s winning queen and ace.

Gustavson described his immense excitement at such a triumphant victory at one of the world’s most competitive poker events. Overwhelmed by his success, Gustavson has already started to make plans to enjoy his considerable winnings. He has expressed a desire to purchase a Porsche along with a possible residence in Las Vegas In addition to his cash prize, Gustavson will also win a seat at European Poker Tour Grand Final scheduled to be held in Monte Carlo. The next stage of the European Poker Tour is set to take place between 20-25th of October in Warsaw. Many will be watching carefully to see who will follow Gustavson’s triumphant performance. With such high stakes on offer, poker players are already looking ahead to the next stage of the competition in what is hoped will be an equally thrilling leg. For now, though, Gustavson can sit back and relax in the knowledge of a brilliant victory and a success story to make anyone envious. Poker enthusiasts will have watched in awe in the knowledge that this was a true poker legend in the making.
