UK & Ireland Poker Tour Schedule Finally Announced

Season 2 of the anticipated upcoming UK and Ireland Poker Tour is finally set in stone and the details of the schedule announced. Mark it in your diary and be sure to take part in the action!

PokerStars.com has announced the schedule for the second season of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour which shall begin in Galway on December 2nd 2010. The first season of the tour came to a close with the Grand Final in London, in total there was more than £2 million paid out in prize money. This is certain to be exceeded in Season 2 as there are increased guarantees at a number of stops.

Season 2 kicks off in Galway between December 2nd and 5th with the €1000 + 100 Main Event guaranteeing a €250,000 prize pool.
In total Season 2 has eight stops which includes two new host venues before the Grand Final at EPT London. Cork is being included in the tour for the first time as the fourth stop; the city will be hosting a €100,000 guaranteed tournament with a €500 + 60 buy-in. The tour will then move to Aspers Casino, Newcastle where there will be a £500 + £50 Main Event featuring a £100,000 guarantee.

Nick Wealthall the UKIPT Host said, “The response from players to the first season was overwhelming and really exciting to be a part of. Season 2 promises to be even bigger, but we won’t lose what makes the tour special: great value, local character and the most fun you can have at a poker tournament.”

Liv Boeree, the New Team PokerStars Pro will be present on the tour and is hoping to add a UKIPT title to her EPT San Remo win. Boeree said, “I can’t wait to play the UKIPT this year as a Team PokerStars Pro. The first stop in Galway is sure to have a stellar field and a huge prize pool, so it would be great to kick off the season with a win there!”
