This year’s Irish Poker Festival sees €250,000 Guaranteed Main Event and two side tournaments all located at Europe’s best poker venue, the Irish National Events Centre in Killarney
Once again the Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker Festival will be held at the best poker venue in Europe, the Irish National Events Centre (INEC) located in Killarney, Co Kerrey, Ireland. This is the heart of a buzzing hotel and leisure complex which also includes the famous Thai Angsana Spa. The Gleneagle Hotel adjacent to the INEC will be hosting Ladbrokes online package winners.
All the events last year were sell-outs and there was a massive 832 players taking part in the Main Event setting a new European record. It took three days but in the end a local, Jimmy McSweeney won the €100,000 first prize.
This year the Festival is running from 2nd to the 4th of October and the €550 Main Event means that there is a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000! Each player will start with 15,000 chips, blind levels will change every hour and players can earn European ranking points.
A €950 package will include the buy-in to the main event and three nights B&B at the Gleneagle Hotel.
There will also be two side tournaments taking place, a two day €270+30 tournament beginning Saturday 3rd October and a one day €150+20 tournament taking place on Sunday 4th October. If you decide to enter you will also have access to Ladbrokes hospitality facilities. There is a luxurious games room with pool and darts to relax between all the poker actions.
As well as the poker, the Irish town of Killarney is renowned for its hospitality; there is a wide range of exciting night-life and a great tradition of Irish music and having the craic. For new comers to Killarney, it is normally possible to get flights from Stansted to Kerry for as little as £2 each way plus taxes, however, it is worth checking online for all the latest offers.
There are Irish Festival Packages to be won online and plenty of places available so make sure you don’t miss out on this, the largest poker tournament on the European Poker Circuit.
