PKR.com and The Fox Poker Club have teamed up to run a poker festival which aims to bring poker to the masses through affordable buy-ins and lively game play
A new kind of poker festival has been put together by PKR.com and The Fox Poker Club which aims to bring ‘poker to the people’ by offering high quality dealer dealt tournaments with affordable buy-ins.
The festival began on October 11th and will continue until 7th November. Known as the PKR.com ‘London Calling’ festival and being held at the Fox Poker Club on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue, the festival features 57 tournaments with most buy-ins ranging from £20 up to £100. Of course there are loads of Texas Hold’em games as well as pot limit Omaha, pot limit Omaha eight, Heads Up events and a two day HORSE event.
The festival ends with a £300 buy-in main event. Throughout the festival there has been a leader board running which ranks players according to points earned based on their finishing positions. These points will be exchanged for starting stacks in a special freeroll which will be held at PKR.com.
Simon Prodger, The PKR Marketing Director said, "It's been our ambition to put on an event like this for some time, and we're delighted that London now has the perfect venue in which to do so. With regular buy-ins ranging from £20 'London Calling' is for the huge number of people who'd love to play a high-quality, dealer dealt tournament but find most poker tours and festivals are too high for their bankroll."
The Managing Director of Fox Poker Club, Chris North said, “We’re thrilled that Fox Poker Club in association with PKR.com is now open and offering poker players a world class facility here in London. The London Calling festival is going to be a tremendously exciting event and it’s all about bringing poker to the masses. Anyone over 18 can come and join in one of our affordable tournaments and we look forward to welcoming you during the month.”
