A great way for players to play poker and stay in touch with each other with the new release for Apple iPhone and Apple iPod
Fancy playing down the 'local pub'? Then look no further than World Series of Poker (WSOP) Hold 'em legends, available now for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. This is a great way for poker players all over the world to have fun and stay in touch with other players and it offers a range of events and functions that will suit novice and more experienced players alike.
Take the 'local pub' program. Played in either a one-table sit and go or $1-$2 cash game, this is one of the first venues you enter when starting the 'Career mode'. Each venue here includes an introductory video and there is also a section which allows you to see your playing stats. There are 25 events across seven venues and as you win you can buy into more prestigious venues which include Rio Las Vegas (the Empire in London) and Caesar's Palace.
When you've accumulated enough, you can begin to move up the playing ladder and enter events such a Harrah's New Orleans which includes a $30 sit and go, $30 dollar turbo sit and go and a $50 dollar two-table shout out event. From here players move into Harrah's Atlantic City before moving onwards and upwards to the big time events.
Players that have navigated through Caesar's Palace and Shark's Bay can eventually unlock the 'VIP Game' which costs $5,000 to participate. After that itβs the Casino at the Empire before the ultimate event β WSOP Main Event, a two-table tournament.
If you have an internet connection then you can take advantage of the great aspect of this program β the multi-player function. This allows you to play against other live opponents and the peer-to-peer function gives you the option to go head to head with your mates.
The touch screen controls are also very user friendly and easy to use β shoving your chips in is done by sliding them into the middle; you can tell the game you've folded by flicking them into the muck. You can even fast-forward the game if you don't want to watch the entire hand or action of a round or play out by tapping the screen.
This is the perfect programme for players that just can't wait to get their next instalment of the game and want to pit their skills on the move. Cash and tournament play means there is something for every sort of player with plenty of action for the serious players amongst you.
