Try out Party Poker’s new and improved Poker software, featuring synchronized breaks and game-tracking functions. We’ve got the lowdown on the entire experience and how you can experience it, here
Party Poker has finally joined the bandwagon and introduced synchronized breaks into its online Poker tournament software. It was the last major Poker website to make the necessary change alongside Full Tilt Poker, UB Poker and Poker Stars. Nevertheless, the change will no doubt improve online Poker playing conditions, and further set the standard for smaller sites and the rest of the industry to follow suit.
According to the improvements made, all multi table tournaments offered by Party Poker will feature five minute breaks each hour. These breaks will be scheduled into the last five minutes of each hour, which will begin at a predetermined time. The only tournaments not included in this new synched breaks system are those still in their first level of play, those with late registration and Turbo tournaments.
Other major changes made to the software include the addition of a new function which will enable players to keep track of all of their games within the one window. This function effectively means that players will have a viewing option other than cascaded and tiled tables, whereby tables can be ordered according to the player’s position. Furthermore, the function will offer the option of alerts prior to a player’s turn, as well as the ability to view the amount of chips each opponent is holding, hand histories, and live hand information. All this can be performed from within the stacked view window without having to open each table separately.
The stacked window will also be entirely adjustable with regards to its functionality. Players will be able to customize their settings such that they control entirely what they see in the window, how many clicks it will take to perform a certain action, and even set the color scheme, to name a few options. It will be able to support up to 14 tables.
The registration for these online Poker tournaments has also been updated. Now, players at Party Poker will be able to register late until the sixth level of play inclusive. In addition, unregistering will be available to all players until predetermined deadlines for each tournament, for which they will receive a compete refund. Many other changes can now be performed via the Party Poker website as opposed to the Poker clients via log on. Players can comment on these changes at the site’s official blog.
