Online poker room PKR has released the latest upgrade to its software featuring a 3D blackjack game.
A few days ago the next generation online poker room PKR released yet another update to its prize winning software. The new software is even smoother than before and includes an exciting new 3D Blackjack casino game.
On the surface it looks as though the best improvement in version 2.04 is the new faster hands per hour rate. It has cut the time off each hand dealt so now players get more for their money with less pauses between hands and even more animations running at the same time such as card shuffling and other dealing effects. If you are a heads-up or shorthanded player then you will definitely notice how much this improves game play, it also means that tournament players can enjoy more play at every blind level and there is now even more action for cash game players. This is excellent news for everyone who enjoys a 3D gaming experience as it tends to be slower than standard 2D software which can be found on most websites.
After many months of work behind the scene PKR has now been able to launch their new 3D Blackjack casino game where players can play up to three seats at the same time. This new release follows on directly from the success of their 3D Roulette game and has been widely anticipated over the past few months.
They have also performed a full upgrade on the in-game voices. There are now an additional 16 new player voices and 8 new dealer voices in the game. In order to bring these new voices to the software a number of different actors had to record over 25,000 lines of dialogue. The producer at PKR, Paul Condron, said that over a number of months they took more than 25 actors into the studio and each one of them recorded about 1,000 lines of dialogue. He said that they really focused on quality when choosing the actors. Instead of just finding an “actor from London who’s CV says he can do an Irish accent” the company found actors with natural accents in order to make the game play even more authentic.
So far the upgrade has generally received excellent reviews. However, there does seem to be some disappointment at the removal of the Dutch accent from the in-game voices.
