Poker Room is one of the largest sites in the OnGame network, and was the first to offer Java-based software. For this reason, it has a solid player base. Although its player traffic does not reach high numbers (5,000 for tourneys), the quality of its players is undeniable. Even in the low limits, good competition can always be found, and this is mainly because it is regarded as a good site for poker practice, and also because it is highly suited to player’s able to commit to high bankrolls.

Poker Room’s software is most commonly described by its players as “pleasant”, and this is true in every sense. The graphics are crisp and clear, it has a smooth set-up process, and many small features that make it especially comfortable to use, such as the information bubbles that appear when scrolling over different icons. The access to online support is quick and simple, however some complain that the cashier options are somewhat awkward.

Poker Room loses some points on their customer service. Although they provide email, phone lines, and live chat functions, the response time for emailing is especially slow, and the phone lines have caused some player’s to disconnect from the network. The quality of the responses is also no more than mediocre.
