Circus Groupe have joined forces with PokerStars to bring the world’s largest poker site to the Belgians and the chance to qualify for major international tournaments
A new partnership has been announced between Circus Groupe and PokerStars which will make it possible for both companies to provide online poker under the regulation of the Belgian Gaming Commission.
The new partnership is in line with Belgian law and will give people living in Belgian the chance to play at the world’s largest poker site. Visitors to the website will also have the opportunity to qualify for the biggest live poker events across the globe including the PokerStars European Poker Tour.
The Namur Casino is operated by the Circus Groupe and the new partnership allows PokerStars to work with a licensed partner in Belgium which comes with years of experience in land-based poker. In exchange for this, the Namur Casino can now offer their customers the most successful online poker platform.
The Marketing Manager for PokerStars Benelux, Sander Siezen said, “PokerStars and the Circus Groupe are logical partners. Namur Casino has the largest live poker events offering in Belgium. PokerStars.com is the world’s largest poker site and the largest in Belgium as well. In addition, PokerStars organises the largest live poker series, the European Poker Tour (EPT). This is also in line with our global strategy to obtain online poker licensing wherever it is available.
The General Manager of Namur Casino, Rafa Diego added that, “This unique partnership with the number one player in the online poker market definitively puts Namur Casino on the European map. Attracting the world’s largest poker site was made possible by the remarkable work of the Belgian Gaming Commission and the Wallonia Ministry of Finance, who were able to establish taxation which is perfectly suited for this type of activity,” added Emmanuel Mewissen, CEO of Circus Groupe.
