If you're familiar with Omaha High, then learning Omaha High Low will be a breeze. We've got all the poker rules of the game listed here, along with detailed examples.

Omaha High is the standard Omaha variation of poker, and is highly popular amongst both online and offline players. Yet recently, Omaha High Low has grown significantly in popularity, and it's high time all those of you out who don’t know it yet have a go. And to make it easy for you, you'll be pleased to know that with exception to the Showdown, the poker rules for Omaha High Low are exactly the same as Omaha High. So here, we'll explain the differences at the showdown between these two great Omaha variants.

The reason that the game is called "Omaha High Low" is because the pot is not awarded to one single player, but is split between two players; one that is holding the highest ranking hand, and one that is holding the lowest ranking hand according to the High Low poker rules.
- Omaha High Hands are ranked in the exact same way as those in Omaha High are, with all the cards maintaining their standard values and winning combinations.
- The Low hand in Omaha High Low must qualify in according to the game's prerequisites. They include:
o Being comprised of three of the board cards and two of the player's own initial cards.
o Having 5 unpaired cards that are all ranked below the value 8.
o Aces being valued as the lowest cards and not the highest cards.
o Having the hand being worth as much as its highest card, meaning that the lower it is, the better the hand is.
o Not including suits in winning hands, such that more than one player can win the low hand, in which case the low half of the pot is split between them.
o Having the best possible low card a A,2,3,4,5, with straights and flushes not being included.

An example of building a high and low winning hand in Omaha High Low is as follows:
- On the board there is : A, Q, 7, 5, 4
- One player has: A, K, K, 2
- Another player has: 3, Q, A, Q
 In this situation, the second player would build a high hand using the 3 queens, Ace and 7. The first player would build a low hand using 7, 5, 4, 2 and Ace.
