Looking for a way to win at poker? Try Sit & Go with these simple rules for how to play the game and become a success.
If your goal when playing poker is to make considerable profit then it is worthwhile learning the art of Sit & Go poker. A slow but steady business approach is called for in this game – as well as skill and strategy!
There are a few simple rules that should be followed if you want to avoid the manic highs and lows involved with other varieties of the game:
• Recognise your own style of play and stick to it! The key is to be consistent and changing your playing style if you have a bad run will lead to things unraveling quickly.
• Recognise the playing style of your opponents. You can gain an advantage by trying to categorise the other players. Are they wild, just in the mood to gamble or are they weak and timid? By analysing their style of play you can quickly come to spot opportunities in the game.
• Play a game that favours skilled players. If you have taken the time to learn the strategy of sit & go, put it to good use and don't play a game that relies on luck.
• Don't risk all your chips at once. The benefit of sit & go means you can still be in with a chance of winning with a relatively small stack. Throwing in the lot is a risky move and doesn't lend itself well to a game of sit & go.
The aim in sit & go should always be to make it to the top three to allow you the breathing space needed to really concentrate on the game. By making sure you always have chips you can find the most optimal situations to make your money.
Remember that a bad run can happen to anyone –sometimes the cards just won't fall your way. The great aspect of Sit & Go is that if you get knocked out, you have five to ten minutes to pull yourself together before the next game. Use this time to watch the other opponents to further understand the way they play. Sit & Go is not necessarily about the cards you have in your hand – it's about using them at the right opportunity. A successful player is one that is always analysing the play and playing a solid game.
