Everest Poker has selected four exciting new players from their “Live the Dream” promotion to play in their professional team.
Everest Poker has recently announced the addition of four exciting new players from their “Live the Dream” promotion, to their pro team.
In 2010, Everest’s “Live the Dream” promotion was successful in finding 200 qualified candidates from 8,000 players. These 200 players were offered the chance to represent Everest Poker in global live tournaments throughout the year. From these 200 players, ten were selected for a 12 month sponsorship. Four of these players are now members of Team Everest, a group that already includes French poker legend Fabrice Soulier, Steven van Zadeloff from the Netherlands and Maria Maceiras from Spain.
The first new member of the team is French poker player Leonard Truche aka “leoledingo”. In 2010, he earned almost $50,000 by cashing in events from the European Poker Tour (EPT) to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe. He placed 14th in a £1,000 No Limit Hold’em event.
The second new addition to Team Everest is Spanish poker pro Javier Martinez aka “elflacokanu”. He is a 2008 champion in the Spanish poker Tour and has displayed excellent skills in tournaments around the world. Last year, he took in $191,000 in winnings and looks to be a very strong addition to the team.
The third new player is Tobias Wagner from Germany, aka “tobestar11”. He has already started the year in fine form. In his short career, he has already accumulated over $115,000 in winnings. Wagner has begun 2011 with three cashes in January and February. He cashed at EPT Deauville in January for just over $10,000 and then earned cashes in February at the German Championship of Poker and at the World Poker Tour’s regional stop in Paris.
The final new member of Team Everest is Koen de Bakker from the Netherlands aka “koendb”. He could be the next big Scandinavian poker star. He took in over $125,000 in tournament poker last year. His biggest payday was an impressive $48,875 at the Spanish Poker Tour’s Grand Final in November, where he came third.
This talented group, along with the rest of the team, will make their first official live tournament the Everest Poker ONE event. This will be held from the 21st to the 24th April in Monte Carlo. Team Everest is also expected to be playing in the 2011 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and Cannes.
