Due to gambling laws in France Marc Bariller had to build his bankroll from nothing, he managed to amass $75,000 and is now the latest member of Team PKR Pro.
PKR the 3D poker room has just announced the latest addition to their Team PKR Pro, Marc ‘Waswini’ Bariller a young online professional from France.
Bariller, who is only 23, started playing freerolls on PKR in February 2007, French laws prevented him from depositing money with his credit cards, but he has managed to build a bankroll from nothing and to date has collected over $75,000 through tournament winnings.
Bariller has clearly won a number of tournaments to amass such winnings; they include the $30 buy-in PKR Open ($3,456), the $25 buy-in PLO Super Series ($1,968), and the $500 buy-in PKR High Roller in January this year which won him his biggest prize so far of $15,260.
PKR’s team so far includes Sofia ‘welllbet’ Lövgren, Vladimir ‘Beyne’ Geshkenbein, Adrien ‘zlatan35′ Allain, James ‘james666′ Sudworth and Kai ‘kingkai84′ Paulsen. Bariller is excited about joining this list of young professionals, he said, “Becoming part of Team PKR Pro was my ultimate goal. It’s amazing news. It’s the ultimate recognition in the PKR Community and nothing could make me happier. It’s with great pleasure that I join Team PKR Pro and its five crazy players!”
Bariller also enjoys playing live and has so far qualified for four PKR Live festivals and has also won seats at APT and WSOP events. So far his largest win at a live event was $8,000 for finishing in 6th place at the $1,000 buy-in PKR Live III Main Event. He is currently making his Team PKR debut at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
We can expect great things from this young player over the coming years and it should be a real pleasure to watch his career grown. In a recent statement Marc offered a few works of advice for any budding poker players who were wondering what his secret is:
“There is no secret. You have to be very strict in your bankroll management, and forget about skipping levels. Learn from others, learn from your mistakes, watch videos from Pros and be extremely patient. Success in poker comes from long term dedication.”
