Your FAQ answered. Full list of Texas Hold’em instructions to help out players with tricky and unusual game scenarios. Suitable for players of all levels
When you start playing Texas Hold’em there will be a lot of rules and strategies to keep track of. We have provided you with a few basic rules that will help you moving forward with your Poker play.
Going All-In
• If two players have gone all-in for unequal amounts, place the value of the smaller stack from the big stack into the pot and give back the difference to the player holding the big-stack.
• If a short stack has gone all-in vs. two bigger stacks, place the blinds, short stack, and value of the short stack from each bigger stack in the main pot. Any player can win this. The two remaining players are eligible for the side pot.
Balancing
• Balance your tables by moving the player who is in (or nearest to) the same position relative to the button.
Breaking Tables
• If you need to merge tables, draw for the open seats.
• If you have no seat cards, use the deck starting from lowest to highest beginning to the left of the dealer.
Cashing Out
• To cash out only some of your chips, you’ll need to cash out the whole stack and return to your seat after the designated time.
Purchasing Chips from Others
• Not recommended! Players should buy from the house or dealer.
Boxed Cards
• Boxed cards are removed from the deck and held up to each player before continuing.
• If the stub runs out, the hand is declared dead and chips are restored.
Exposed Cards
• Only exposed first or second cards result in a redeal.
Rebuys
• Payers must rebuy before the hand is dealt.
Missing a Blind
• Players cannot enter games between the blinds except if they buy the button.
• Players who sit down between the small blind and the button can pay both the small and big blind.
• In tournaments, however, absent players have blinds posted automatically.
Small Stack Sizes
• Player's with stacks less than the small blind are considered all-in.
• If larger than the small blind but less than the big blind, they are all-in in any position except for the small blind if they fold
Dealing Errors
• Offending cards become flash cards. If two are burned, the third becomes a flash card. If two are burned and two shown, the second is placed face down and the first up card becomes a flash card.
