Ahead of next year’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, PokerNews have teamed up with PokerStars to bring American players extra tournaments which could eventually take them to the Bahamas.
Every year the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure comes along and always provides some of the most enjoyable poker action of the year. The next event will be running from January 7th – 16th and will take place at the Atlantis Resort & Casino in The Bahamas. The winner of last year’s main event won $2,200,000 and this year it could be you!
The website PokerNews have joined in the action this year; they are offering players from the United States three $2,000 Added PCA Tournaments. Those who finish in the top ten of each event will win a $215 Step 4 ticket for the PCA Sit-n-Go Series which will give you an even better chance of taking part in the Caribbean Adventure.
The first of these tournaments have already taken place, but the next will be on December 13th and the following on January 18th. To join in with these tournaments all you need to do is download PokerStars from PokerNews, register an account with the marketing code ‘POKERNEWS.COM’ and make sure that you earn at least 35 VPPs before the end of the qualification period.
On October 19th the first $2000 PCA Monthly took place with only 112 players taking part. The top ten received their $215 tickets as well as their prize money and 27 of the players finished in the money. This means that around 1 in 4 players walked away in the money and even better for the cost of their $2.20 buy-in the players in the tournament received the equivalent to a $20 buy-in. This is possibly the best value money added tournament ever to feature on PokerStars so be sure that you don’t miss the next one.
Normally the PCA is a hugely popular event, especially since you do not have to be 21 to play in the tournament. There is a high chance of getting paid and roughly 20% of the field makes it into the money, last year’s was won by 19 year old Harrison Gimbel who took home $2.2 million in his first live tournament.
Even better, PokerStars is currently offering a 100% up to $600 Sign Up Bonus for new players using the marketing code ‘POKERNEWS.COM’ and bonus code ‘STARS600’ as well as their usual huge tournament guarantees, loads of satellite events and more. Best of all American players can take part in both the PCA and the monthly $15,000 Sunday Million Freeroll Series giving them $19,000 a month in added value tournaments.
