There are many exciting events taking place at London’s Empire Casino in this year’s WSOPE, find out about them all here
Last week the official schedule for the World Series of Poker Europe 2010 was announced. This year’s event will be running from the 14th to the 28th of September and will feature a total of five events, this is one more than the four events which were part of last year’s series. This year’s series will be taking place at the Empire Casino is London’s Leicester Square.
The first event of the series is a a £2,500 no-limit Texas Hold'em 6-max event which will run for three days. There is also a £5,000 pot limit Omaha, a £1,000 no-limit Texas Hold’em (this event also features the lowest buy-in available and shall also be running for over three days), a £10,000 High Roller Heads Up no limit Texas Hold’em and finally the Main Event which shall be a £10,000 no-limit Texas Hold’em which shall be running for over five days.
In the past, main events have been won by Barry Shulman, John Juanda and Annette Obrestad.

At the same time, the World Series of Poker 2010 has just begun and if you are not taking part it is not yet too late to place a few bets on who you think is going to win the tournament. At the moment bookmaker’s favourites to win this year’s title is Phil Ivey who they have placed at 80/1. The second and third favourites are Allen Cunningham and Gus Hansen at 100/1 (the odds are taken from www.bet365.com). This year’s highest place femail player is Jennifer Harman whom they have placed at 200/1.
